Single Disc Machines

Single-disc floor maintenance machines are an indispensable part of the standard equipment of modern contract cleaners.  Karcher’s new product range offers you the right machine for your requirements, from powerful special units for scrubbing and polishing to flexible allrounders.  The well-equipped machines and their purpose-matched accessories allow you to carry out almost any cleaning task on hard and carpeted floors.

BDS 33/190 C - Compact
Entry level model used mainly for lighter work on small to medium-sized areas.  This compact machine suits the cleaning requirements of hotels, for example, and is ideal for rooms in which furniture restricts manoeuvrability.

BDS 43/150 C - Powerful
This high performance floor scrubber handles almost all the cleaning tasks that occur in professional contract cleaning, such as basic cleaning, stripping and crystallizing.

BDP 43/410 C - For Professional Polishing
This high-speed single-disc machine is a must for professionals who polish, freshen up high-lustre surfaces and carry out spray buffing.

BDS 43/Duo C - Versatile
With a choice of 150 or 300 rpm, this allrounder is suitable for light work and polishing.

• Simple and safe operation - all controls are ergonomically arranged on the handle for easy operation.  If the user releases the operating lever the motor switches off automatically.
• Adjustable working height - thanks to an articulated joint, the angle of the push handle can be adjusted to suit the operator’s height and reach.
• Integral power outlet - a standard, built in power outlet permits quick and trouble free connection of a vacuum unit (BDS 43/150 C, BDP 43/410 C, BDS 43/Duo C).
• Easily manoeuvrable - two large, non-marking wheels make it easy to move the machine between cleaning jobs, even up and down steps and over uneven surfaces.
• Trouble-free brush change - thanks to a low-wear coupling system (metal on metal), brushes can be changed easily and quickly without any risk of canting.  An extensive range of brushes is available.
• Quickly fitted and secured - depending on the model, a vacuum unit, fresh-water tank and pre-spraying attachment can be fitted to the machine in very little time and without difficulty.
• Centrally mounted high-performance motor - the new machines have a reliable, service-friendly high-performance motor.  It is mounted centrally to guarantee a uniform contact pressure on the floor and makes the machines much easier to handle.
• Robust planetary gear drive - the new planetary gear drive produces a higher torque than a conventional belt drive.  At the same time, there is less wear, i.e. maintenance costs are reduced.  These are significant arguments in the professional cleaning business.
• Large radius of action - with a cable length of 12m or 15m, the machines have an ideal radius of action.  When not in operation, the cable is wound around the handle and specially shaped hook.
• All-round bump guard - the non-marking bump guard protects furniture and walls from damage.
• Maximum protection against corrosion - the housing is powder-coated twice to make it really corrosion-proof - even in tough operating conditions.  Stainless-steel screws are used in the area of the brush and pad.
   

BD 53/1100 - The high lustre specialist

Compared to conventional high-speed units, the ultra high-speed BD 53/1100 is up to 30% more productive.  It’s remarkable working width of 505mm makes this special unit suitable for all applications where great importance is attached to a perfect shine.

• Very mobile - three castors makes sure the unit does not wander.  It can be moved forwards and backwards as well as sideways.
• Variable contact pressure - the contact pressure can be adjusted by a knob above the front castor to produce perfect polishing results.
• Floating motor housing - the motor is resiliently mounted so that its housing “floats” and adjusts automatically to uneven floors.
• Other features - the drive board for cleaning pads is permanently connected to the unit, quiet belt drive, automatic cut-out system, fully adjustable handle & long cable.

FUNCTION/DESIGN
A full range of machines appropriate for scrubbing, stripping, polishing and spray cleaning of hard floors.  The low rotating speed together with high brush pressure is the ideal solution for the cleaning and stripping of floors.  The higher speed machines are designed to polish a wide range of floor types.  Waxing and polishing of your floor not only improves the appearance but also provides protection from moisture and damage from dirt.  Dual speed single disc machines combine two functions in one by allowing you to scrub and polish with the same machine, thereby giving you two machines in one, reducing costs and storage space required.

USAGE AREA
Floor types on which a scrubbing, buffing or polishing machine may be used include; Terrazzo, wood, linoleum, vinyl, tiles, marble, stone, quarry tiles, ceramic, amtico.
